Industry Consultative Committee (ICC)
The Department's Industry Consultative Committee (ICC) includes members from the diverse industries associated with mechanical and manufacturing engineering.
The committee's main purpose is to provide advice on a continuing basis to the Head of Department and the Departmental Academic Committee on a range of topics, including:
- Identification of suitable industry collaborative research projects funded through schemes such as ARC Linkage grants, STIs, CRCs etc
- Selection of real life final year student design and research projects
- Suitability of current and new undergraduate and graduate course structures
- Provision of “Youngblood” Lectureships possibly on an adjunct basis
- Identification of suitable industry input to undergraduate courses to satisfy new IEAust Accreditation Guidelines
